    Honouring the Spirit of Helumoa

    Every Monday and Thursday evening, The Royal Hawaiian celebrates the storied grounds of Helumoa with Aha‘aina, A Royal Celebration. Set on the Ocean Lawn against the backdrop of Waikiki Beach, this distinctive experience brings Hawaiian history and culture to life through traditional cuisine, mele (song), hula and storytelling. Inspired by the gatherings once held to mark meaningful occasions, Aha‘aina offers a memorable connection to the heritage of this legendary place.

    The Evening at a Glance

    Check-in begins at 5:00 PM, followed by three acts: Welcome to Ancient Waikiki at 5:15 PM, The Royal Feast at 6:00 PM and The Helumoa Story Unfolds at 7:00 PM. The evening concludes at approximately 7:50 PM.

    Ticket Pricing & Inclusions

    Adult tickets are $240–$265 for ages 13+, and children ages 5–12 are $150. Both include three drink tickets. Children ages 2–4 are $20 for a reserved seat without a meal, while lap children ages 0–2 are complimentary without a seat or meal. Premium seating is available for an additional $25 and includes an upgraded lei greeting.

    Children’s drink tickets are valid for non-alcoholic beverages only. Bottles of wine are excluded, and additional beverages are available for purchase.
