FEATURING LOCAL FLAVORS AND HAWAIIAN CUISINE

Rooted in Hawaiian Culinary Tradition

The Royal Hawaiian luau includes an incredible variety of local cuisine, served to guests at this perfect beachfront location. The resort proudly features local ingredients in both savory and sweet dishes, creating an eco-friendly luau in Waikiki Honolulu.

The first plate begins with poi, a staple of Hawaiian celebrations for centuries. Poi comes from the taro plant, which early settlers brought to Hawaii and frequently consumed. Cooks mash the cooked plant material with water and allow it to ferment to varying degrees, adjusting the taste as desired.

Signature Kalua Pig is roasted for hours in natural ti leaves, grown across the islands and on the Royal Hawaiian grounds.

Dessert features local-style Haupia pudding, a popular coconut milk-based treat.
